| Environment Friendly Moisture Absorbing Desiccant |

| | Desiccants such as Silica gel are commonly used inside a package to absorb moisture. These are often ineffective, and at times the cause rather than prevention, of corrosion of the packed item. Silica gel has properties by which it attracts moisture. Lower nighttime temperatures cause moisture to condense. During the day, this condensed moisture is released back into the atmosphere within the package due to the higher due to the higher daytime temperatures thus adding to the humidity within the package.
Suprabha approaches this problem by providing two varieties of desiccants, namely the VCI Rustopowder and Dehumidifier. Former provides positive rust prevention by treating the atmosphere and the later absorbs the moisture and keeps the same under control.
RUSTOPOWDER
On vaporisation VCI molecules migrate and then condensate, forming a monomolecular film on the metal surface. The VCI molecules are attracted towards metal surfaces, they protect every area of metal components including cavities and recessed areas.
SPECIAL FEATURES
• In case the package is breached and the atmosphere within the package is exposed to the outside atmosphere, the monomolecular VCI layer remains undisturbed due to the continuous vapour action
• The VCI layer of items shipped need not be removed, and the parts, components or assembled units are ready for final assembly on delivery, since no degreasing or cleaning is necessary
• No regeneration is required; effective up to 24 months
• VCI does not affect the functioning of most electrical and electronic components
• VCI powders protect both ferrous & non-ferrous metals
• Usage of 5 gm/ C.ft is more than adequate to provide effective protection
DEHUMIDIFIER
It is an activated metal compound, which is an excellent absorber of moisture, and does not get as soaked as to ooze the absorbed moisture when saturated. It is pH near neutral range thereby having no adverse effect on metals. The right quantity of this desiccant ensures humidity free dry packing
